Spectacular , jaw dropping  view of Lake Wakitapu and the mountain range.

I think Queenstown is one place where people of all age groups (bachelorshoneymoonersfamiliescan have a ball and you will not hear anyone say they are boredIt can be visited in summer or winter, each season has its own charmMy blog is about things to do in summer.

Queenstown is the place for adrenaline junkies
My cousin, bungee jumping at Kawarau Bridge- world’s 1st commercial bungee jump. This is where it all started.I did not have the guts to do this :p

It is the mecca of adventure activities and water sports (during summers)From bungee jumpingskydivingcanyon swingparasailingParagliding and you just name itthe list goes on.It is a really small town, but you will be surprised at the crazy antics you can get up to here, you can literally bungee jump sitting on a bicycleI tried the parasailing and the Shotover jet boat ride and it was amazing.

The area’s oldest winery, Gibbston Valley makes excellent Pinot noir (Red wineand they also have a ‘cheesery‘. They have some amazing cheese to taste and dishes with cheese to relishThey also have wine tours of the impressive wine cave and wine tastingIn general the surrounding Central Otago region is known for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyards, so there are a lot of other vineyards one can visit and go to the wine tastingWe did a couple of them.

Never had such Cherries before!
Cherry Farms!!

This place is also the cherry capital of New Zealand and you have to eat it to believe how delicioussweetbig and succulent those cherries areThere are cherry picking tours or you can simply eat them, they are lip smacking!

Gondola and Luge

It is just a five minutes walk from central Queenstown. A scenic gondola ride will take you high above Queenstown where you can get breathtaking  views of the Remarkable mountain range and Lake Wakatipu.

Enjoying the Luge with the breathtaking view!

Once you are up , you have to try the luge.It is a three-wheeled cart with just a brake. It is a wheeled gravity ride that provides riders full control over their descent. You can race with fellow riders and choose a track based on the difficulty level. The views from this ride are simply stunning, you don’t know whether to keep your eyes on the track or the view.

Eating a Fergburger at Queenstown is mandatory, your trip cannot be complete without having oneThe line that you see in the image is nothing!!! People are crazy for Ferburgerthe cue could go upto a few kilometers and you have to wait for minimum 30-45 minutes at all timesThe burgers are worth the hype and they just melt in your mouthI would recommend trying one burger every day for one mealThey also have a bakery which is equally amazingTry the gelato ice-cream or the desertseverything here is mouth-watering and delicious.
